Mohanlal begins filming Drishyam 3

Drishyam 3

The much-awaited Malayalam film Drishyam 3 has officially started production, bringing excitement to fans who have been waiting for years. The first two films in the Drishyam franchise were massive hits, and many believe this could be the final chapter of the series.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 had been delayed several times, leaving audiences unsure if it would ever happen. With Mohanlal’s busy schedule, many assumed the project might not take off soon. However, sources in the Malayalam film industry confirmed that filming has already begun. The shoot is expected to continue for about three and a half months.

Industry reports suggest that the makers are planning a quick release, possibly as early as next year. If things go as planned, the film could hit screens by the start of summer. This would add to Mohanlal’s impressive record of delivering multiple films in a short time.

Over the past year, Mohanlal has been on a remarkable run. He starred in Barroz, followed by Empuraan and Thudaarum, which received strong responses. He also impressed audiences with Hridayapoorvam and made guest appearances in films like Kannappa, giving those projects extra attention.

At 65, Mohanlal continues to surprise fans with his energy and dedication. Unlike many stars who release just one film a year, he has been managing four or five projects annually. His ability to stay active in lead roles, despite his age, is being widely praised. Fans say this stamina shows his passion for cinema.

Meanwhile, some film lovers have compared him with Telugu stars, pointing out that many of them release only one film a year, or sometimes none. They argue that the industry needs more big releases to stay strong and hope their favourite actors will follow Mohanlal’s example.

For now, all eyes are on Drishyam 3. If released next summer, it could become one of the biggest Malayalam films of the year.
