Mandatory Reporting for Film Shoots in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh Film Industry Employees Federation held its general body meeting at a hotel in Gandhinagar. During the meeting, the members elected Kancharla Achyuta Rao as the new chairman of the federation. Federation president Thoram Raja explained that the film industry moved from Madras to Hyderabad to develop and sustain itself in the divided Andhra Pradesh. He noted that until 2013, the AP film industry flourished in Hyderabad and supported many workers. With Kancharla Achyuta Rao’s election as chairman, Raja expressed hope that he would further develop the film industry in AP.

Raja announced that Achyuta Rao would take the oath of office as chairman of the AP Film Industry Employees Federation on May 29. Achyuta Rao, the newly elected chairman, acknowledged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has a passion for cinema. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan emphasized his commitment to establishing the Telugu film industry in Andhra Pradesh. He urged the government to inform the federation about any film shoots in the state and to provide the cards issued to 24 craft artists in Andhra Pradesh. He believed that bringing the film industry to Andhra Pradesh would benefit the government.
