Maidaan movie starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, is gearing up for release on 10th April 2024. Movie team has unveiled the trailer on 7th March 2024. Movie has been in production from a long time and got delayed due to some unstated reasons. Finally, the team is ready to release the film. AR Rahman is scoring music for the film.
The movie is based on real life story of Syed Abdul Rahim alias Rahim Saab. A celebrated football coach, Rahim Saab, revolutionized Indian football. He formed an Indian team that plays at International level. Movie chronicles 1952-62 decade events in the life of Rahim. Ajay Devgn will be seen as Rahim Saab and Priyamani as his wife.
AR Rahman composed music for the film and his score for the trailer is absolutely great. He weaved magic that supports the visuals. Amit Sharma is directing the film and also written the additional screenplay for the film. Saiwyn Quadras has written story and original screenplay for it.
Tushar Kanti Ray has handled cinematography and Fyodor Lyass handled it for sports sequences. Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor have produced the film. Dev Rao Jadhav and Shahnawaz Mosani have edited the film. Few visuals remind us of Chak De India but the sports drama seems to have enough material to attract young Indian audiences.
