Actress Madhu Shalini takes on the role of presenter for Kanya Kumari, a heartfelt rural romance that promises to blend tender emotion with rich, grounded storytelling. The film is written, directed, and produced by Srujan Attada under the Radical Pictures banner, with Geeth Saini and Sricharan Rachakonda leading the cast.
The movie is scheduled for a grand cinema release on 27 August, perfectly timed to coincide with the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The date was revealed alongside a striking poster, showing Sricharan joyfully lifting Geeth Saini, her arms decorated with butterfly wings—symbolising the film’s whimsical yet emotional tone.
Described as “An Organic Prema Katha” (an organic love story), the film’s teaser has already attracted attention for its warmth and authenticity. As the release date approaches, the makers are preparing a vibrant promotional campaign to connect with audiences across regions.
Set against the rustic backdrop of a village in Srikakulam, Kanya Kumari aims to deliver a slice-of-life experience that captures both the earthy charm of rural life and the visual appeal of refined cinema. The story, rooted in the rhythms and emotions of village living, seeks to portray romance with a sense of purity and honesty rarely found on screen.
The film’s aesthetics are further elevated by Ravi Nidamarthy’s soulful score, paired with lush cinematography by Siva Gajula and Hari Charan K. Editor Naresh Adupa’s precise cuts promise a smooth, immersive viewing experience.
With its blend of simple beauty, heartfelt love, and festive release timing, Kanya Kumari from Madhu Shalini looks set to be a refreshing addition to the season’s cinema offerings—an intimate tale that could resonate deeply with audiences both in cities and small towns.
