In a time when securing strong openings has become a major challenge for films, Kingdom, the upcoming Telugu film starring Vijay Deverakonda, is already showing promise. Set for a global release on 31 July, Kingdom is creating strong pre-release buzz with solid advance bookings and high expectations.
At a recent press meet, producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi spoke openly about the current state of the film industry. “Today, getting audiences into theatres is no easy task. But Kingdom is passing that test. The bookings are strong, and we believe this will be a major success,” he said. He added that the film is not just action-driven but packed with emotion, crafted as a gripping gangster drama in director Gautam Tinnanuri’s signature style.
Lead actor Vijay Deverakonda echoed that confidence, saying, “The audience’s response has been heartwarming. This story blends war, love, and family struggles. Within the first few minutes, viewers will be completely drawn into the world of Kingdom. We’re proud of what we’ve made.”
The film stars Bhagya Shri Borse as the female lead and Satyadev in a significant role. Bhagya Shri shared, “I play Madhu, a beautifully written character. It’s been a joy working with such a talented team, and I hope the audience connects with my role.”
Directed by Gautam Tinnanuri of Jersey fame and featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander, Kingdom has also impressed with its trailer and soundtrack. With much of the film shot in real locations, the makers promise an authentic visual experience.
As the release date approaches, trade experts believe Kingdom has the potential to become a major box-office success and a milestone in Vijay Deverakonda’s career.
