Along with the poster, the makers announced that filming has officially been completed. The film is set to release on 2nd October 2025.
The original Kantara became a surprise sensation, captivating audiences across India and beyond. It not only impressed critics but also went on to become one of the biggest Pan-India hits of the year. Now, Kantara: Chapter 1 promises to take the story back to its roots, exploring the legend that inspired the first film.
The newly released poster features Rishab Shetty in a powerful, never-seen-before look that has left fans excited. Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “Where legends are born and the roar of the wild echoes…”
Backed by the successful banner Hombale Films—known for hits like KGF and Salaar—Kantara: Chapter 1 is being crafted on an even grander scale. A major war sequence was filmed over 45–50 days, using over 500 trained fighters and 3,000 extras across a 25-acre set. This marks one of the largest action sequences ever filmed in Indian cinema.
Rishab Shetty, who is both the lead actor and the creative force behind the project, has been praised for his commitment and vision. With the completion of the shoot and the film now in post-production, excitement is building for its October release.
