Kamal Haasan, the legendary actor of Indian Cinema, started hosting Bigg Boss Tamil, way back in 2017. The show kept him close to audiences despite his films failing at the box office. As a host, he has been able to steer through many controversies and controversial contestants in Bigg Boss for past seven seasons.
Now, he accepted many films post tremendous success of Vikram as an actor and producer. Kamal Haasan is currently busy shooting for Mani Rathnam’s Thug Life and he might even shoot for Kalki 2898 AD second part. He has another film in the direction of action directors Anbarivu.
With so many projects on plate, he could not find time to allocate dates for Bigg Boss new season, Bigg Boss 8. While Akkineni Nagarjuna confirmed to return as host for Telugu Bigg Boss Season 8, Kamal Haasan declined the offer. He wrote a long letter announcing his decision.
Kamal Haasan wrote, “With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began 7 years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I’m unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil.”
He described how he enjoyed the opportunity. “I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude. Your spirited and passionate support of the contestants is at the core of what makes Bigg Boss Tamil one of the best television reality shows in India,” he said.
Continuing he wrote that he loved the job personally. Kamal wrote, “Personally, being your host has been an enriching association, where I have honestly shared my learnings. I will always be grateful for this learning experience. I sincerely thank each one of you and the contestants in the show for our time together.”
He concluded by thanking Vijay TV and wishing for another successful season. He wrote, “Lastly, I would like to thank the wonderful team at Vijay TV, as well as every crew member who has been involved in making this enterprise a grand success. I am sure this season will be yet another success.” Kamal Haasan could fly to LA for a quick learning in AI tools.
