Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and Telugu superstar Jr NTR will soon be seen together in the much-awaited action film War 2, the sixth instalment in the Yash Raj Films Spy Universe. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is set to release across India on 14 August and promises a cinematic clash between two of India’s biggest action heroes.
Speaking about the project, Ayan Mukerji shared his excitement and the pressure of taking forward such a successful franchise. “Directing War 2 felt like making my first film all over again,” he said. “It’s a huge responsibility to bring something fresh to a blockbuster franchise that already has a dedicated fan base.”
Ayan revealed that he spent a great deal of time designing the intense conflict between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in a way that would emotionally connect with the audience. “This film unites two of the most iconic stars in Indian cinema. Naturally, expectations are sky-high. We’ve crafted the story and action scenes in a way that both fans and general audiences will feel something powerful.”
He added that War 2 aims to deliver a brand-new theatrical experience. “Our goal is to create something unforgettable for the audience, a lifetime experience in theatres. It’s not just about action; it’s about emotions, excitement, and cinematic scale.”
