HanuMan has become a huge blockbuster with a budget of 40-45 crores and literally, lesser known ensemble cast. Teja Sajja, the lead actor, has done films like Oh Baby as a supporting actor and Zombie Reddy as lead before and he is not a known star for such huge budget to be invested on. It is Prasanth Varma’s vision that convinced the makers to give such big budget.
In an intelligent way, he played on his strengths and used Hanuman character to crave Indian Super-Hero HanuMan in this film. Hence, the movie collected a huge Rs.250 crores gross worldwide upon release for Sankranti despite facing competition from Saindhav, Naa Saami Ranga and Guntur Kaaram. Now, the director is moving on to making sequel for HanuMan, Jai Hanuman,
He started pre-production for the film on the day of Ayodhya Temple has been opened. In an interview, he stated that he is planning Hanuman character in Jai Hanuman, in such a way that any actor can play it and use VFX, CGI to complete the appearance. He stated that he would wish to cast an actor who has a screen presence that makes audiences go mad and instantly make them bow to him.
Hence, he stated that he would wish to cast Megastar Chiranjeevi in the role of Hanuman. Going on, he added that his wish would be to cast Mahesh Babu as Shri Ram in his film. He stated that his office has worked on the look of Mahesh as Ram and he is positive about bringing it on screen as a performance.
He further stated that he will bring all 12 Superhero films he planned as Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe will be made systematically and they have good budgets coming in. He stated that he will amp up their script writing team to 100 writers and make some of them direct as well in coming days. He stated that he will start Adheera, part of PVCU, as well soon with a new director.
