HanuMan movie has come up with an unique storyline that mixes superhero origins to Indian Mythology. Using the premise of an Indian Superhero, who finds powers related to Lord Hanuman, against a Super Villain who takes inspiration from International Superheroes, movie attracted families, masses and children during festival period. Movie found good reception in Hindi market.
While in Telugu states it faced huge competition from Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav and Naa Saami Ranga. But it has become a delightful choice for the audiences. While it crossed Rs.100 crores gross, the movie has collected a share above Rs.50 crores. It collected over Rs.18 crores Nett. gross in Hindi. The movie has become a double blockbuster with huge returns.
Movie has very good word of mouth and it is set to have great run at the box office for three more weeks as Republic Day weekend also yields good returns at the box office. Distributors are expecting the movie to become triple blockbuster continuing this dream run.
Movie is the first one in Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. Director Prasanth Varma has announced a big universe using mythological characters and superheroes derived from them. Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Samudrakani, Vinay Rai have been part of the ensemble cast in the film.
