Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja are reportedly going through a troubled phase in their marriage. According to national media reports, Sunita has filed for divorce after nearly 38 years of marriage, citing serious allegations against the actor.
Reports state that Sunita filed a petition at the Bandra family court on 5 December last year under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. In her petition, she accused Govinda of cruelty, adultery and abandonment. The matter has been in court for over a year, with hearings and counselling sessions taking place.
According to Live Mint, Sunita has been attending the counselling sessions, while there is no clarity on whether Govinda has joined virtually. The publication also reported that Govinda skipped a court session in May 2025, further complicating the situation.
