She recounted a troubling experience from 1991 during the filming of Chanchattam. According to Vijayan, Das would knock on her hotel room door at night and behaved inappropriately, creating an uncomfortable and hostile environment.

“The Hema Committee report has exposed many shocking truths. Those who have harassed women now live in fear of consequences. This issue should concern everyone. I hope such incidents are not repeated. Women must confront these situations with courage,” Vijayan said.

The report has led to several actresses coming forward with allegations against various directors and producers. Notably, actress Revathy Sampath has accused actor-producer Siddique of serious misconduct, while a Bengali actress has accused director Ranjith Balakrishnan of abusive behavior. Additionally, actress Minu has alleged harassment by several industry figures, including Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Idavela Babu, Jayasurya, Production Controller Noble, and Vichu. Actress Sridevi has also accused Thulasi Das of similar misconduct. Despite her complaints to AMMA in 2006, she claimed no action was taken.
