Film producer Shirish Reddy has spoken out to clear the air after some of his recent comments in an interview led to backlash from fans of the mega family, about Game Changer, particularly supporters of Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi.
The controversy began as mega fans got hurt when producer Shirish Reddy mentioned that he had not received any direct updates from either Ram Charan or director Shankar regarding the progress of their film Game Changer. These remarks were widely misunderstood on social media, leading to upset among fans. However, Shirish later clarified that his words were taken out of context and not meant to criticise anyone.
“We received full support and commitment from ‘Global Star’ Ram Charan for Game Changer,” Shirish said in a statement. He also explained that his long-standing connection with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s family remains strong and respectful. “We would never speak in a way that harms the reputation of Chiranjeevi garu, Ram Charan, or any Mega hero,” he added. “If my words hurt anyone, I truly apologise.”
Supporting Shirish, his brother and senior producer Dil Raju also stepped in to express solidarity. He confirmed that their professional relationship with Ram Charan continues to be solid and positive. In fact, he revealed that a new film project with the actor is already being planned.
Fans, after hearing the clarifications, appreciated the response and expressed hope that the good relationship between the production house and the Mega family continues. Game Changer is a Telugu political action thriller directed by S. Shankar, marking his debut in Telugu cinema. The film stars Ram Charan in a dual role, alongside Kiara Advani, S. J. Suryah, Anjali, and Srikanth.
