Mega family actor Sai Durgha Tej, who made his Tollywood debut in 2014 with Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, started his career with back-to-back films. Between 2015 and 2020, he released multiple movies each year, including Subramanyam for Sale, Supreme, Winner, and Jawaan. His energetic performances kept him in the spotlight.
However, in recent years, Sai Durgha Tej has slowed down. After the 2023 release Bro, where he starred alongside Pawan Kalyan, the actor has not appeared in any new films. Bro did not perform well at the box office, and Tej did not immediately commit to another project.
He had earlier scored a hit with Virupaksha, which entered the ₹100 crore club, raising expectations for his next move. Fans were hopeful about his upcoming film Sambaraala Yeti Gattu, but the movie’s release has faced multiple delays.
Originally planned for early 2025, then pushed to September or October, the latest reports suggest it may not release this year at all. Despite the shoot nearing completion, the team is waiting for a good solo release window, causing further postponement.
Fans and media are growing frustrated, as it has been nearly two years since Tej’s last release. Critics argue that mid-range actors like him should release at least one film a year to stay relevant.
There is some hope, though. Sources say Sai Durgha Tej has greenlit two more films, aiming to make up for the gap by releasing three films in 2026. An official announcement is expected soon. Fans now eagerly wait to see if he can bounce back with a strong lineup.
