A dark new Telugu horror thriller, Eesha, promises to take audiences into an unseen world of fear, as its chilling trailer was unveiled ahead of the film’s theatrical release on 12 December.

Backed by the successful producer duo Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati, known for delivering cult hits such as Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambai, Eesha is being presented as a fresh and unsettling addition to the horror-thriller genre. The film is produced under the banners of Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vaas Works, with veteran producer KL Damodar Prasad presenting it and Hema Venkateswara Rao bankrolling the project under HVR Productions. Direction is by Srinivas Manne.

The film stars Akhil Raj and Trigun in lead roles, with Hebba Patel as the female lead. Siri Hanumanthu, Babloo and Prithviraj appear in key supporting roles. Following a strong response to its earlier glimpse, the newly released trailer has significantly raised expectations.

Opening with the haunting line, “There is another dark world you never imagined,” the trailer sets the tone for a gripping narrative that moves away from routine horror formulas. The story revolves around a group of friends who strongly believe that ghosts and spirits do not exist. Determined to expose superstition and self-proclaimed godmen in society, they take on a bold challenge thrown by Babloo Prithviraj’s character — to prove the existence of spirits. What follows is their descent into a terrifying hidden world where science collides with the supernatural.

Visually, the trailer is drenched in blue and dark tones, heightening the eerie atmosphere. A dilapidated bungalow, mysterious machines scattered on the floor, and ominous ritual set-ups add to the sense of dread. Cinematographer Santosh’s lighting work, combined with RR Dhruvan’s intense background score, delivers several spine-chilling moments. The sound design, in particular, stands out as a crucial element that amplifies the horror experience.

With rapid cuts and shocking twists towards the end of the trailer, Eesha has successfully sparked curiosity among audiences. Trade circles believe the film aims to offer “something more” than a conventional horror thriller, blending social commentary with supernatural suspense. All eyes are now on 12 December, when Eesha arrives in cinemas.
