Vennela Kishore has become the most sought after comedian in Telugu Cinema. His popularity can be equated to Brahmanandam and Sunil at their peak. So, a movie with him playing the leading role does generate enough interest and buzz. His movie Chaari 111 released on 1st March, 2024. Let’s talk about the movie in detail.
Plot:
A new age threat hits Hyderabad as Humans start vaporizing and blasting away the surroundings like a human bomb. A special spy agency, Rudranetra, is assigned this case by AP CM(Subhaleka Sudhakar, Rahul Ravindran). Rudranetra is headed by Mr. Rao(Murali Sharma) and unwillingly he assigns the case to Agent Chaari 111(Vennela Kishore).
He also introduces another agent Esha(Samyuktha Viswanathan) into the equation as a backup. As they start investigating, Rao gets to know that there is an old connection to him in the case. What is it? How Chaari solved the case? Watch the movie to know more.
Analysis:
Few films don’t really take themselves seriously but they do try to poke fun at everything. Problem raises with those “fun” moments not really landing right. In Hollywood, movies like Scary Movie, poke fun at all the general and common movie troupes with dumbest possible characters and plot.
Here, the plot is too serious and the comedy seems a distraction. While it should have been other way around. Movie tries to generate fun at places it shouldn’t and we can observe how it is trying too hard. We laugh at those moments than the really intended funny ones. Technical values hamper the movie too much that even if we try to get into its world, we are plucked out forcefully.
Vennela Kishore is fine as he is asked to do what he normally does. His one-liners in few scenes do elevate them and they are only good thing for the movie. Samyuktha Viswanathan looks good but she did not asked to act and she did not, too.
Pavni Reddy, Satya, Thagubothu Ramesh just irritate. Murali Sharma tried to be too true to his character and he did his best. On the whole, movie has no chance at redemption as it appears as a long gone case from the first frame.
