Highly anticipated movie Bharateeyudu 2 aka Indian 2, is releasing this July, Pan India. After 28 years, director Shankar is revisiting his most beloved character Indian, for the sequel. Kamal Haasan has embodied the character of freedom fighter turned vigilante against corruption in the film. Also, he played the antagonist, a youngster corrupted by the system to the core.
His dual role in the film has won him accolades from his fans and “Indian thatha” character has become a serious symbol against corruption. Now, director and actor have decided to revisit the character and bring Senapathi – Indian / Bharateeyudu Thatha character back into more corrupt and spoilt system after many years.
While AR Rahman scored music for the original, rockstar Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for this sequel. Lyca Productions is bankrolling the movie and they have recently announced big promotional campaign to start soon. They have decided to start the promotions by releasing first single from the album.
Original movie songs have been evergreen hits and Anirudh has a huge job to keep the good name. On 21st May, the makers have released the promo of the song, Souraa and on 22nd May, they will release the full song at 5 PM. Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar are playing other leading and supporting roles alongside Kamal Haasan, in the film.
