Bellamkonda Sreenivas pins hopes on Kishkindha Puri

Bellamkonda Sreenivas

Tollywood’s young hero Bellamkonda Sreenivas has carved a special place for himself with a series of films and several hits. However, his Bollywood debut with the remake of Prabhas’s Chatrapathi did not work as expected, which turned out to be a setback in his career. After a long gap, he is once again busy with Telugu films and trying to regain his form.

Recently, Sreenivas appeared before audiences with Bhairava. Though his acting received appreciation, the film did not perform as strongly as hoped. Now, all his attention is on his upcoming project, Kishkindha Puri. The actor is confident this film will mark his big comeback.

Chavu Kaburu Challaga fame Kaushik Pegallapati is directing the film, while Sahu Garapati is producing it under Shine Screens banner. Kishkindha Puri is a fantasy horror drama with divine elements. Anupama Parameswaran stars opposite Bellamkonda Sreenivas as the female lead. The pair had already worked together in Rakshasudu, and now they are reuniting for this much-awaited project.

The film’s teaser has already caught the attention of audiences and raised curiosity. Initially, Kishkindha Puri was scheduled for release on 12 September. However, as Mirai was set to arrive on the same date, the makers decided to postpone it by one day. The film will now hit theatres on 13 September.

Interestingly, the date itself has created buzz. In cinema culture, especially with horror films, the number 13 is often treated as symbolic and connected to superstition. Many filmmakers even include the number in their titles. By releasing Kishkindha Puri on 13 September, the makers seem to be taking advantage of this sentiment, which is adding to the film’s hype.

Fans and netizens believe the one-day delay is actually a positive move, giving the film a clear space at the box office. If the movie opens to good talk, it is expected to bring in strong collections. For Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Kishkindha Puri could well be the turning point he is waiting for. All eyes are now on 13 September to see whether this fantasy horror will deliver success.
