The blockbuster franchise Baahubali is returning to the big screen in a grand way. The two parts of the film, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, have been re-edited and are now being released together as Baahubali: The Epic. The special version will be released in IMAX format on 31 October.
Even though the films have been re-released before, the excitement among fans remains strong. On BookMyShow alone, more than 140,000 people have already shown interest in tickets. Many more are eagerly waiting across other platforms.
The combined version of the two films runs for around eleven hours of footage. Director S. S. Rajamouli has faced the challenge of trimming and reshaping the content to create a sharper and fresher experience. Reports suggest that unseen footage will be included, giving the audience a new perspective rather than simply repeating what they have already watched.
Rajamouli is said to be working intensely on the editing table to make sure the film feels fresh. Industry sources believe that The Epic will not only satisfy existing fans but also draw in new viewers. With the buzz already high, promotional activity is expected to rise further in the coming weeks.
Rajamouli is managing this project while also being busy with his upcoming film, SSMB29. However, for most of October, he will focus mainly on Baahubali: The Epic. There are also talks of an international release, which could see Rajamouli and his team promoting the film abroad.
It is not yet clear whether lead actor Prabhas will join the promotions. At present, he is occupied with his films Raja Saab and Pawzi. Fans are hopeful he will make time to support the re-release of the epic that made him a household name.
Baahubali: The Epic is shaping up to be a cinematic event, promising audiences a grand new experience on the big screen once again.
