Avika Gor, who became a household name in India with the popular television serial Balika Vadhu (Chinnari Pellikuthuru in Telugu), has announced her wedding date. The actress, who later entered Telugu cinema as a lead actress with the blockbuster Uyyala Jampala, is all set to begin a new chapter in her life.
After the success of Uyyala Jampala, which also gave actor Raj Tarun his big break, Avika went on to act in films like Lakshmi Raave Maa Intiki, Cinema Choopista Mava, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, Raju Gari Gadhi 3, Popcorn, and Umapathi. She also worked in short films and web projects, winning appreciation for her performances.
In a recent interview with an English website, Avika revealed that she will marry her long-time partner, social activist Milind Chandwani, on 30 September this year. The couple, who got engaged in June, first met in 2020 through mutual friends. Their friendship soon turned into love, and now they are ready to tie the knot.
Speaking about the wedding, Avika said, “I am very happy to have found a partner who supports me in every way. I feel lucky to marry someone who always stands by me.” She also shared that announcing her marriage date was an emotional moment for her mother, who was present during the interview.
Reflecting on her journey, Avika added, “Since 2008, audiences have recognised me and given me their love. I wanted them to be part of this new phase of my life as well. As a child, I often dreamed of my wedding, and now I feel blessed that those dreams are coming true.”
