Indian actress Avika Gor and her husband Milind Chandwani have responded calmly to online trolling after their wedding on a reality show. The couple tied the knot on 30 September during a Hindi reality programme. While many fans congratulated them, a section of the audience mocked their decision to marry on television and criticised their wedding looks.
Speaking about the trolls, Milind said weddings today usually involve photographers and videographers. “Nothing is unusual about our wedding. Avika made this decision with a good intention, and I agreed to it immediately,” he explained.
Avika also shared that they were aware they might face trolling. “We knew people would say we did it for publicity or money. But we are happy with our decision. Milind’s opinion matters most to me, not what others think,” she said.
The actress further addressed comments about her bridal look. She revealed their wedding followed traditional customs and expressed relief that no one trolled her husband’s outfit. “I designed his look myself. If people had mocked him, it would have hurt me more,” she added with a smile.
Avika became a household name in India with her role as Anandi in the popular Hindi television serial Balika Vadhu. After gaining national fame as a child actress, she went on to star in several films. Her marriage to Milind on a reality show was her childhood dream, and she shared this idea with him early on. He supported her without hesitation, even though they both expected some negative reactions.
Despite the criticism, the couple remains positive. “People will always have opinions. What matters is that we are happy,” Avika said. Their response has earned praise from fans who appreciated their grace and maturity in dealing with online hate.
