Ananya Panday, who gained fame through films like Student of the Year 2, Liger, and Dream Girl 2, is currently immersed in a series of exciting new projects. One of her upcoming films, Control, has been making waves, and during a promotional interview for the movie, Ananya opened up about her career goals and experiences in Bollywood.
Ananya expressed her desire to work with renowned directors and production houses in the industry. She mentioned how eager she is to be part of a Karan Johar-directed film, saying, “I would love to act in a Karan Johar film.” Although she had a small role in Johar’s latest release, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, she’s looking forward to having a more significant role in one of his future projects.
Ananya also shared her admiration for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, stating, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali is my favourite director. I want to see myself in one of his films.” She admires Bhansali’s cinematic style and is hopeful that an opportunity to work with him will come soon.

Speaking about the genres she’d like to explore, Ananya revealed her desire to diversify her filmography. “I’ve acted in several movies since the beginning of my career, but I want to explore different genres. I’d love to do romantic films, horror, and even biopics,” she explained. With her growing experience in Bollywood, Ananya feels more confident and ready to take on a wider range of roles, adding, “I’ve learned so much since my first film, and I’m eager to keep growing.”
On the personal front, Ananya touched on her social media journey, which she says has been an important part of connecting with fans. “I started a Facebook account when I was a kid, but my mom found out and deleted it,” she said with a laugh. “I came back to social media when I was 18, and I love being active in my free time. It’s a great way to share my favorite films and experiences with my followers.”
