Popular Telugu actor Allari Naresh has officially confirmed that the sequel to his hit parody film Sudigadu is in the works. The actor shared that the upcoming film, titled Sudigadu 2, will be much bigger, funnier and more relatable to audiences across India.
The first Sudigadu, released in 2012, became a huge success for its clever spoofs of well-known Telugu films. According to Naresh, the sequel will take things to the next level by spoofing nearly 200 films, including major pan-Indian blockbusters such as Pushpa, Animal, KGF and Baahubali. He said the idea is to make the comedy easily understandable for audiences not only in the South, but also in the North.
Naresh explained that the team is currently working on the script, and it will take time to carefully choose the right scenes and films that people still remember. He added that spoof comedy is challenging because it must be funny without offending anyone, while still keeping the story entertaining.
The actor said that Sudigadu 2 aims to appeal to a larger audience and could even become a true pan-India comedy entertainer. He also hinted that the film might include references to trending social media moments, viral dialogues and famous action scenes from recent films.
Along with spoofs, the film will have an emotional storyline, as Naresh believes that modern comedy films also need some heart and drama to connect with viewers.
Naresh, who is known for his comic timing, also shared that he wants to explore other genres like horror and silent films in the future. He even mentioned that he may try directing one day, but only after gaining more experience.
Fans of Sudigadu are excited to see how the sequel will recreate the magic of the original, while bringing in fresh humour for today’s audience.
