Veteran actor and comedian Ali, known for his memorable roles in Telugu cinema, recently opened up about a deeply personal story at the pre-release event of the upcoming film Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama. The film, starring Suhas and Malavika Manoj, is set to release on 11 July.
Ali plays an important role in the film, and during the event, he shared why this project holds special meaning for him. He recalled that when director Ram approached him to play Suhas’s uncle, he immediately agreed without asking about payment. Instead, he simply asked how many days were needed.
Ali revealed that the role reminded him of his late grandnephew. “About 15 years ago, I had a grandnephew who was raised like my own son after my sister passed away,” Ali said. “He fell in love with a girl, but when she rejected him, he took his own life. My mother, who raised him, was heartbroken and cried every day for two years.”
This personal loss deeply connected Ali to the story of Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama, especially the bond shown between the characters played by him and Suhas. “When Ram narrated the script, I saw my grandnephew in Suhas,” Ali shared emotionally.
The film team mentioned that the emotional scenes between Ali and Suhas will be one of the highlights of the movie.
Though Ali has been seen less frequently on screen in recent years, his performance in Oh Bhama Ayyo Rama promises to be heartfelt and memorable. The audience can expect touching family emotions along with strong storytelling when the film hits cinemas this week.
