Malayalam actor Vinayakan, who is widely recognised for his villainous role in Jailer, was hospitalised after an accident on the set of the upcoming film Aadu 3. The incident occurred during the filming of an action sequence involving a jeep.

Vinayakan reportedly felt discomfort following the accident and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. An MRI scan revealed serious muscle and nerve damage in his neck, which doctors say could have resulted in restricted movement if not treated promptly. Following treatment, he was advised to take six weeks of complete rest to ensure a full recovery.

After being discharged, Vinayakan spoke about the incident, emphasising the importance of early detection of his injury. He expressed relief that the damage was identified in time and said he is now focusing on rest and rehabilitation before returning to work.

Aadu 3 is the third instalment in the popular Aadu film series, directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The film stars Jayasurya reprising his role as the fan-favourite character Shaji Pappan, alongside Vijay Babu, Saiju Kurup, Sunny Wayne, and Indrans in key roles. The movie is scheduled for release around Eid next March.

The production team confirmed that filming will resume once Vinayakan has fully recovered. They also highlighted their commitment to safety on set, especially during physically demanding action sequences, to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Fans and colleagues of Vinayakan have sent him messages wishing him a swift and complete recovery. His performance in both Malayalam and Tamil cinema has earned him a strong fan following, and his recent recognition from Jailer has only increased public admiration.

The team behind Aadu 3 is optimistic that Vinayakan will return to the set soon, allowing production to continue smoothly. Meanwhile, they remain focused on maintaining safety measures during all remaining action sequences.
