Bollywood star Aamir Khan and Tollywood director SS Rajamouli are at the centre of fresh speculation after talk of their dream project Mahabharata once again caught the spotlight. Both have long expressed their wish to adapt the Indian epic, and their shared passion has stirred huge expectations in the film industry.

The buzz grew louder when a video of Aamir Khan and Rajamouli surfaced during promotions for the web series The Badds of Bollywood. The light-hearted clip, now viral on social media, shows the pair playfully debating food while leaving fans guessing if it was a hint at something bigger.

In the video, Aamir asks Rajamouli whether idli sambar or vada pav is the better snack. Rajamouli quickly declares: “That’s not even a question. The whole world knows vada pav is the best.” Aamir disagrees, insisting idli sambar, especially in Pune, is unmatched. Before they can continue, Rajamouli is called to the set. Smiling, he signs off with: “It is WIP” – words fans interpreted as “work in progress”.

Actor Raghav Juyal, who witnessed the exchange, jokes that “idli sambar” might mean plans for a shoot in Italy, adding a comic twist. However, for fans, the real talking point was whether Aamir Khan and Rajamouli were subtly teasing a collaboration on Mahabharata.

Social media has been buzzing since, with many urging the pair to make an official announcement. At present, Rajamouli is focused on his mega film SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, which is being produced on a huge scale.

Whether the viral moment was just playful banter or a deliberate hint, the possibility of Aamir Khan and Rajamouli joining forces for Mahabharata has reignited excitement across Indian cinema.
