* A tiger attacked and killed four women who
Four women who went to collect beedi leaves in the forest were attacked and killed by a tiger at once. The horrific incident took place on Friday morning in the Ganjewahi forest area of Chandrapur district in Maharashtra. Due to this, the people of the rural areas of Sindewahi neighbours are in deep fear.
It is common there that in the morning large numbers of villagers go to the forest area to collect dried beedi leaves. Some women from Ganjewahi area also went on Friday morning. Around 8 am a tiger came out and attacked them. According to eyewitness accounts, it lashed out horribly, leaving no chance for the victims. As a result, four women died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Kavudubai Dadaji Moharle, Anubai Dadaji Moharle, Sangeeta Santhosh Chaudhary and Sunita Kaushik Moharle. All of them are between 33 to 45 years old.
After this incident, the people of the villages around the forest area are in deep fear. Forest Range Officer Anjali Sayankar immediately reached the spot. After four women were killed in a tiger attack at the same time, villagers are showing more anger on forest officers and showling deep condolescense among the villagers who lost their lives.
