The auspicious Bhoomi Pooja ritual for the construction of a new Grievance Cell and Media Gallery at the Superintendent of Police (SP) Office in Guntur District was performed today with great reverence. The ceremony was led by Sri S. Sathish Kumar IPS, Superintendent of Police, Guntur District, alongside Dr. S.V. Kota Reddy, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Jagadish Chandra, Registrar of VIT-AP University.
This initiative is a significant step towards enhancing public interface and media engagement by the Guntur Police Department. VIT-AP came forward to construct the facility upon the suggestion from the SP.
Sri S. Sathish Kumar IPS expressed his gratitude, saying,
“We are honoured to have VIT-AP University’s support in this important endeavour. The new Grievance Cell and Media Gallery will provide esteemed services to the citizens coming to the offices with their grievances. The Media gallery will also help the police department communicate effectively to the general public.
Dr. S.V. Kota Reddy, Vice Chancellor of VIT-AP University, remarked,

Supporting the Guntur Police in their efforts to improve public access and media relations aligns with our vision of fostering safer and more connected communities. Selvam, for their wholehearted approval and encouragement in making this CSR initiative possible upon the special request from the SP of Guntur.”
Dr. Jagadish Chandra, Registrar of VIT-AP University, added,

This initiative reflects our dedication to supporting public service infrastructure and fostering a safer environment for all. I extend my heartfelt thanks to our Honble Chancellor, Dr. G.
