Stock Markets end the year with losses

Stock Markets ended 2023 with losses but on overall it is a positive year. Traders have been highly skeptical far more than previous year. But 2023 will be remembered for huge highs, few scams being exposed and highly volatile market sessions with high losses and highest gains. But the final session of this year saw more traders going for selling off their holds. Hence, BSE lost 170.12 points to close at 72,240.26 and Nifty lost 123.95 points to close at 21,731.40 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading high at 72,351.59 mark and then continued to trade between 72,417.01 to 72,082.64 range. Index has started flat and continued to trade in red. Traders have gone for selling off some of their holds and then few big stocks saw some investors coming in. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 72,240.26 by losing 170.12 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,737.65 mark and it hit highest for the day at 21,770.30. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,676.90. Index started lower than the previous closing. It kept losing so much it fell below 21,700 benchmark at one moment. Towards the end it recovered and Nifty50 ended by losing 47.30 points on 21,731.40.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.18 against US Dollar on towards the end of 2023. Tata Motors, Nestle India, HUL, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, UltraTech Cements, Wipro, Bajaj Finserv, Maruthi, HDFC Bank, L&T stocks have registered gains in SENSEX30 index. Stock Markets have achieved big lifetime benchmarks this 2023 towards the end. We hope Markets will continue the positive trend in 2024, too.
