Stock Markets ended with huge gains on 08th April 2024. Investors have invested huge in big stocks like Reliance, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank and Maruthi Suzuki. This helped markets to hit a positive rally and hit lifetime highs. International Stock Markets did not have much effect and hence, BSE gained 494.28 points to close at 74,742.50 and Nifty gained 152.60 points to close at 22,666.30 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 74,555.44 and then continued to trade between 74,410.07 – 74,869.30. Index started off positively above the previous closing. Investors kept investing in big stocks and at the highest BSE hit all-time lifetime high. Also, market capitalization of firms surpassed Rs.400 lakh crores mark. BSE ended the trading session slightly lower than highest at 74,742.50 by gaining 494.28 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,578.35 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,697.30. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,550.35. Index has started above the previous closing marka and kept trading in positive region. It crossed 22,650 and hit new benchmark once again. Hence, Nifty50 ended by gaining 152.60 points on 22,666.30.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.31 against US Dollar on 08th April 2024. Maruthi Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, NTPC, JSW Steel, L&T shares have ended up as Top Gainers during this session. While Nestle India, Wipro, Sun Pharma, Titan, HCL Technology shares have been Top Losers.
