Stock Markets Update: Indices registered huge losses

Stock Markets have registered marginal losses on 2nd April

Stock Markets ended with losses on 02nd April 2024. Investors sold off their gains from the previous session due to unfavourable conditions. International Stock Markets ended up with mixed results and this also fueled their intent to sell-off their gains. Hence, BSE lost 110.64 points to close at 73,903.91 and Nifty lost 8.70 points to close at 22,453.30 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 74,022.30 and then continued to trade between 74,099.78 – 73,743.77. Index started off at the same level as previous closing and kept oscillating through troughs and crests in losses. And index traded below 74,000 mark most off the session. BSE ended the trading session at 73,903.91 by losing 110.64 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,458.80 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,497.60. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,388.15. Index started at the same level but due to selling pressure, it kept fluctuating between marginal losses and highs. Finally, Nifty50 ended by losing 8.70 points on 22,453.30.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.39 against US Dollar on 02nd April 2024. Mahindra & Mahindra, Nestle India, Tata Motors, State Bank of India, Indusind Bank shares ended up as Top Gainers. Kotak Mahindra, HCL Technology, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, Infosys shares ended up as Top Losers. Experts predict big correction could be around the corner.
