Stock Markets start enthusiastically but register limited gains after a dip

Stock Markets continued to register gains for fourth consecutive session on 11th January, 2024. Traders started the session enthusiastically higher than the previous closing. International Stock Markets registering gains has helped them to invest as well. But towards the end they came under selling pressure. Hence, BSE gained 63.47 points to close at 71,721.18 and Nifty gained 28.50 points to close at 21,647.20 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading higher than previous closing at 71,907.75 mark and then continued to trade between 71,543.19 to 71,999.47 range. Index started off with huge gains and maintained them almost throughout the session. But as the selling pressure hit it, they lost hugely. Towards the end it recovered and BSE ended the trading session at 71,721.18 by gaining 63.47 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,688.00 mark and it hit highest for the day at 21,726.50. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,593.75. Index started enthusiastically and continued to trade in gains till mid-session. Several traders have started selling off their big stock holds before festival weekend. Hence, Nifty50 ended by limited gains upto 28.50 points on 21,647.20.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.05 against US Dollar on 11th January, 2024. Hero Motocorp, Bajaj Auto, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank, Bharath Petroleum shares have registered maximum gains. As South Indians and Maharashtra people are gearing up for Sankranti, Makar Sankranti, Pongal holidays, the Stock Markets could see turbulence in the next week. Let’s wait and see.
