Stock Markets Update: Indices recovered from losses

Stock Markets register gains after two negative sessions

Stock Markets recovered highly from losses on 4th January, 2024. Traders have decided to invest in big stocks across various sectors. International Stock Markets did not end up with gains yet the rumors about October – December Quarter results being positive helped for Traders to invest. Hence, BSE gained 490.97 points to close at 71,847.57 and Nifty gained 141.25 points to close at 21,658.60 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading higher than previous closing at 71,678.93 mark and then continued to trade between 71,546.60 to 71,954.79 range. Index started on a positive note and held on to the gains throughout the session. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 71,847.57 by gaining 490.97 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,605.80 mark and it hit highest for the day at 21,685.65. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,564.55. Index never oscillated between losses and gains or highs and lows. This helped the momentum to stay afloat. Hence, Nifty50 ended by gaining 141.25 points on 21,658.60.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.25 against US Dollar on 4th January, 2024. Traders have found great confidence to once again invest as the holiday season has come to an end. Reality sector saw 6.6% growth in one session. Bajaj Finance, NTPC, ONGC, IndusInd Bank and Tata Consumer stocks have reported gains. Stock Markets could maintain this recovery for another session this week.
