Stock Markets Update: Indices recover slightly on Friday

Stock Markets despite oscillations ended with gains

Stock Markets recovred slightly on 09th February, 2024. Markets kept oscillating throughout the session. Traders did show some interest in investing in big stocks after bloodbath in previous session. Baking sector shares and Reliance let the markets close stronger. Hence, BSE gained 167.06 points to close at 71,595.49 and Nifty gained 64.55 points to close at 21,782.50 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading close to previous closing at 71,410.29 and then continued to trade between 71,200.31 – 71,676.49. Index started off close to previous closing and kept oscillating between gains and losses. By the end, it did recover and BSE ended the trading session at 71,595.49 by gaining 167.06 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,727.00 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 21,804.45. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,629.90. Index did had an enthusiastic start but then banking shares have effected it’s progress big time. Still, towards the end it saw major stocks attracting investments. Hence, Nifty50 ended by gaining 64.55 points on 21,782.50.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.01 against US Dollar on 09th February, 2024. Bank of India, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance stocks have been the big gainers. Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharati Airtel, NTPC, Tata Steel, JSW Steel have become the biggest losers. The one day gains and one day losses seem to be latest trends in Stock Markets.
