Stock Markets recorded fresh highs again on 15th July. Investors started the third week of July with an optimistic outlook. As the new Union Budget is expected to be pro=reforms and highly friendly towards Small Cap industries, they selectively invested in big stocks. So, indices held on to their gains this session, too.
In the session, IT stocks did not show the same kind of aggression as previous sessions. With other sectors performing well, BSE capitalization value reached to Rs.455.1 Lakh crore. The valuation of companies listed in the index increased by Rs.2.7 Lakh crores. Hence, Big indices of Stock Markets, BSE gained 145.52 points to close at 80,664.86 and Nifty50 gained 84.55 points to close at 24,586.70 mark.
In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading above previous closing at 80,686.54 and then continued to trade between 80,556.97 – 80,862.54. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading higher than previous closing at 24,587.60 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 24,635.05. While Nifty50 hit the lowest at 24,522.75.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.60 against USD on 15th July 2024. State Bank Of India, NTPC, Ultratech Cement, Mahindra & Mahindra, ITC ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, SBI Life Insurance Company, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Auto, State Bank Of India ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50.
On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While LTI Mindtree, Asian Paints, Grasim Industries, Tata Steel, Axis Bank ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
