Stock Markets Update: Indices reach new high benchmarks

Stock Markets hit huge lifetime high benchmarks on 6th March 2024

Stock Markets have recovered from losses and registered new high benchmarks on 06th March 2024. Traders did not find much enthusiasm to invest in stocks and hence, it looked like another bad one for all. But at the lowest, banking sector stocks attracted good investments before closing. Hence, BSE gained 408.86 points to close at 74,085.99 and Nifty gained 117.75 points to close at 22,474.05 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 73,587.70 and then continued to trade between 73,321.48 – 74,151.27. Index has started off on a negative note and dipped immediately. Traders kept selling off their positions and by mid-day they started investing in big stocks at low prices. Index gained so much that it ended over 74,000 mark for the first time. BSE ended the trading session at 74,085.99 by gaining 408.86 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,327.50 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,497.20. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,224.35. Index started low and dipped further by mid-session. Big Stocks, mainly, Banking sector stocks attracted big investments at the lowest level. This helped in great recovery and Nifty50 ended by gaining 117.75 points on 22,474.05.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.82.85 against US Dollar on 06th March, 2024. Kotak Mhindra Bank, Axis Bank, Bharati Airtel, Sun Pharma, Mahindra & Mahindra shares have ended as Top Gainers. UltraTech Cement, NTPC, Maruthi, JSW Steel and Powergrid Corporation shares have ended as Top Losers. International Stock Markets did show impact in the morning session. US Federal Reserve announcement will be key in coming sessions.
