Stock Markets lose more than 6 Lakh crores in one session

Stock Markets crashed to huge losses on 28th February 2024. Traders did not see great enthusiasm at the start. International Stock Markets ended with losses and that also helped in this kind of a negative rally. We can say that traders have been circumspect and decided to sell off holds. Hence, BSE lost 790.34 points to close at 72,304.88 and Nifty lost 247.20 points to close at 21,951.15 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 73,162.82 and then continued to trade between 73,223.11 – 72,222.29. Index started flat and continued to dip throughout the session. In this one session, index has lost more than Rs.6 Lakh crores and traders were afraid looking at the bloodbath. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 72,304.88 by losing 790.34 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,214.10 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,229.15. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,915.85. Index started lower than the previous closing and dipped further. For the first time in recent sessions, index lost more than 250 points but recovered at the lowest ever so slightly. Hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 247.20 points on 21,951.15.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.82.89 against US Dollar on 28th February, 2024. Except for Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, Bharti Airtel stocks none of them saw profits. Major stocks like Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank have driven Stock Markets into this bear losses. With such huge dip, several traders might invest at lower rates in the next session.
