Stock Markets ended the second week of July hitting huge benchmarks on 12th July. Investors have decided to invest in IT stocks in this session after TCS announced their quarter results. The company announced that they have made profits more than anticipated. Also, US inflation has dropped down and this helped indices hit new benchmarks.
Going into the details, With TCS performing more than anticipated, investors invested in IT stocks like Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra. After a positive start, BSE went on to hit 80,893 mark at one moment. Nifty50 also hit 24,500 benchmark as well in this session. Hence, Big indices of Stock Markets, BSE gained 622.00 points to close at 80,519.34 and Nifty50 gained 186.20 points to close at 24,502.15 mark.
In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading above previous closing at 80,093.62 and then continued to trade between 79,843.39 – 80,893.51. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading higher than previous closing at 24,387.95 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 24,592.20. While Nifty50 hit the lowest at 24,331.15.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.52 against USD on 12th July 2024. Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies, and Tech Mahindra ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies, and LTI Mindtree ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50.
On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; Maruti Suzuki India, Asian Paints, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, and Titan Company stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While TMaruti Suzuki India, Divis Laboratories, Coal India, Asian Paints and Bharat Petroleum Corporation ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
