Stock Markets ended with marginal mixed results on 05th April 2024. Investors have been circumspect with US Fed not giving any clear indication about interest rates. International Stock Markets have also ended with mixed results. With all these factors helping, BSE gained 20.59 points to close at 74,248.22 and Nifty lost 0.95 points to close at 22,513.70 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 74,287.02 and then continued to trade between 73,946.92 – 74,361.11. Index started below previous closing mark and continued to trade in same fashion till mid-session. But investors have decided to sell off their gains and hence, BSE ended the trading session flat at 74,248.22 by gaining nominal 20.59 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,486.40 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,537.60. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,427.60. Index never looked to be in downtrend or uptrend throughout the session. It oscillated so much that it lost gains and then recovered a little it. But it still had more investors selling off and hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 0.95 points on 22,513.70.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.31 against US Dollar on 05th April 2024. Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, ITC, SBI shares have ended up being Top Gainers. UltraTech Cement, L&T, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Finance, Maruthi Suzuki shares have ended up as Top Losers. Stock Markets ended the week by holding onto gains but this oscillation could result in more corrections in coming weeks.
