Stock Markets ended the third week of June with losses on 21st June. Investors started the session on a great positive note with huge profits. At the highest, they started booking profits and hence, the session trended in red throughout. At one point, BSE lost more than 1000 points and Nifty50 more than 260 points.
Going into the details, after a great positive start due to bad global trends, investors started booking profits. BSE recovered after hitting lowest recovered 700 points, still ending with losses. Nifty did not have such dramatic trends but kept oscillating throughout. Hence, big indices of Stock Markets, BSE lost 269.03 points to close at 77,209.90 and Nifty lost 65.90 points to close at 23,501.10 mark.
In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading higher than previous closing at 77,729.48 and then continued to trade between 77,808.45 – 76,802.00. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading at 23,661.15 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 23,667.10. While Nifty50 hit the lowest at 23,398.20.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.56 against USD on 21st June 2024. Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, NTPC and Kotak Mahindra Bank ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. Bharti Airtel, LTI Mindtree, Hindalco Industries, Infosys and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50.
On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; Ultratech Cement, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors, Nestle India and Hindustan Unilever stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While Ultratech Cement, Adani Enterprises, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Tata Motors and Tata Consumer ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
