Stock Markets ended first week of July flat on 05th July. Investors started the session lower than the previous closing. While global cues have been positive and major stocks like HDFC Bank drew indices down to end the session flat with BSE losing and NSE gaining, respectively, marginally.
Going into the details, Eurpoean markets and globally many big markets closed on positive note. But investors booked profits in big stocks. At the same time SBI, Reliance Industries kind of big stocks resisted this huge fall. Hence, Big indices of Stock Markets, BSE lost 53.07 points to close at 79,996.60 and Nifty50 gained 21.70 points to close at 24,323.85 mark.
In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading below previous closing at 79,778.98 and then continued to trade between 80,149.87 – 79,478.96. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading slightly below previous closing at 24,213.35 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 24,363.00. While Nifty50 hit the lowest at 24,168.85.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.48 against USD on 05th July 2024. State Bank Of India, Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever, NTPC, Larsen & Toubro ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, State Bank Of India, Reliance Industries, Britannia Industries, Hindustan Unilever ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50.
On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; HDFC Bank, Titan Company, Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Indusind Bank stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While HDFC Bank, Titan Company, Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, LTI Mindtree ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
