Stock Markets Update: Indices end flat on Friday

Stock Markets NSE registered losses despite hitting 23,000 mark

Stock Markets managed to cross record highs during intraday trading but ended flat on 24th May 2024. Investors kept the momentum going for the indices despite starting low. Both the major indices have hit all-time highs during intraday and promised another hugely profitable session.

Nifty50 crossed 23,000 mark and BSE did create all-time high crossing 75,600 mark. But International Stock Markets did not close with gains and this made investors to sell off their holds at huge profits. Hence, BSE lost 7.65 points to close at 75,410.39 and Nifty50 lost 10.55 points to close at 22,957.10 mark.

In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading at 75,335.45 and then continued to trade between 75,244.22 – 75,636.50. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,930.75 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 23,026.40. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,908.00.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.10 against USD on 24th May 2024. HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, BPCL, Larsen & Toubro, and UltraTech Cement ended as Top Gainers in Nifty50. While NTPC, and Axis Bank replaced BPCL and UltraTech as Top Gainers in BSE list. Adani Ports & SEZ, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, JSW Steel, ITC, TCS, Titan and Asian Paints ended as Top Losers in both indices of Stock Markets.
