Stock Markets have registered huge gains again on 28th March 2024. Investors got great boost with International Stock Markets ending with huge gains. IT and Banking sector shares have seen huge rally. Investors let the indices hit new highs but before closing sold off some gains. Hence, BSE gained 639.16 points to close at 73,635.48 and Nifty gained 203.25 points to close at 22,326.90 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 73,149.34 and then continued to trade between 73,120.33 – 74,190.31. Index from the morning seemed to be in a race touching new benchmarks. It crossed 74,000 mark at one time and looked like setting new record. Investors sold some of their holds at this moment and BSE ended the trading session at 73,635.48 by gaining 639.16 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,163.60 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,516.00. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,163.60. Index started off at greater high than the previous closing. it never fell below the trade starting mark and hit 22,500 benchmark mid-session. As it went under some selling pressure at highs, Nifty50 ended by gaining 203.25 points on 22,326.90.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.38 against US Dollar on 28th March, 2024. Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, SBI, Mahindra & Mahindra, Powergrid Corporation stocks ended up as Top Gainers. Tech Mahindra, Reliance, HCL Tech, ITC stocks have ended as Top Losers. Stock Markets have ended the week with huge gains before Good Friday and Easter Sunday, holidays.
