Stock Markets crashed again but recovered a bit

Stock Markets crashed due to huge selling pressure on 18th January, 2024. Traders continued to sell-off their holds even on Thursday. For third consecutive session, Stock Markets have registered big losses. International Markets as well contributed to this fall during this session, too. Hence, BSE lost 313.90 points to close at 71,186.86 and Nifty lost 109.70 points to close at 21,462.25 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading lower than previous closing at 71,018.86 mark and then continued to trade between 71,451.29 to 70,665.50 range. Index has started off low and kept plummeting. At one point, it lost 900 points and then it recovered upto an extent. Still, BSE ended the trading session at 71,186.86 by losing 313.90 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading low at 21,414.20 mark and it hit highest for the day at 21,539.40. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,285.55. Index started under 21,420 mark and then continued to trade higher but mid-session fell down. Towards the end, it recovered a little. Hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 109.70 points on 21,462.25.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.13 against US Dollar on 18th January, 2024. NTPC, HDFC Bank, Powergrid Corporation, Titan, Asian Paints have lost the most in Stock Markets. Sun Pharma, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank shares have gained during this session. Traders seem to have unleashed a selling spree and we have to wait and see when this blood bath will end.
