Stock Markets Update: Indices continue to lose again

Stock Markets registered losses again on Tuesday 28th May

Stock Markets have registered losses again on 28th May 2024. Investors have been circumspect during this session due to fears about inflation rise. While International Stock Markets did boost the initial to be positive, investors did not showcase similar positivity till the end.

While the positive trend continued till first few hours, suddenly, investors started selling off their holds in big stocks. The selling pressure has resulted in BSE losing 500 points intraday. It recovered slightly and in Nifty50 also showcased similar trends. Lastly, big indices of Stock Markets, BSE lost 220.05 points to close at 75,170.45 and Nifty lost 44.30 points to close at 22,888.15 mark.

In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading at 75,585.40 and then continued to trade between 75,585.40 – 75,083.22. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,977.15 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,998.55. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,858.50.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.17 against USD on 28th May 2024. Asian Paints, Wipro, JSW Steel, Hindustan Unilever, and Bajaj Finserv ended as Top Gainers in BSE. Divi’s Laboratories, SBI Life, HDFC Life, Hero MotoCorp and Grasim in Top Gainers in Nifty50.

On the other hand in Stock Markets, Power Grid Corp., NTPC, Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, and Tata Motors stocks ended as Top Losers in BSE. Adani Ports & SEZ, Power Grid Corp., BPCL, Coal India, and Adani Enterprises ended as Top Losers in Nifty50. Experts predict uncertainties to continue for few more sessions.
