Stock Markets registered huge gains on 21st March

Stock Markets ended flat with gains on 21st March 2024. Investors have been circumspect this week due to the impending US Federal reserve announcement. Fed indicated decrease in interest rates. Hence, International Stock Markets boomed and correlatively, BSE gained 539.50 points to close at 72,641.19 and Nifty gained 172.85 points to close at 22,011.95 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 72,507.36 and then continued to trade between 72,416.03 – 72,882.46. Index started much higher than previous closing and the investors kept investing in big MNC company stocks. This week, we can say that this is the most positive session for the index. BSE ended the trading session at 72,641.19 by gaining 539.50 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,989.90 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,080.95. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,941.30. Index has started on a positive note and never looked like dipping down from the highs. It ended the session in green throughout. Nifty50 ended by gaining 172.85 points on 22,011.95.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.12 against US Dollar on 21st March, 2024. Bharathi Airtel, Maruthi Suzuki, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints shares have been Top Gainers. NTPC, Tata Motors, Powergrid Corporation, Tata Steel and IndusInd Bank shares have been Top Losers. Stock brokers would hope for this momentum to continue for rest of the month.
