Stock Markets Update: BSE crosses 77,000 but ends in losses

Stock Markets ended with major losses on 10th June

Stock Markets have put a break to gains and registered major losses on 10th June. Investors started the session enthusiastically but they went for selling off holds for profits. Mid-session, Sensex after hitting huge landmark could not sustain and IT sector saw big losses.

Going into the details, IT sector saw huge oscillations throughout the session. Major stocks have ended up in losses driving down the market enthusiasm. BSE crossed 77,000 mark for the first time yet at such high mark, major stocks encountered selling pressure. Hence, big indices of Stock Markets, BSE lost 203.28 points to close at 76,490.08 and Nifty lost 30.95 points to close at 23,259.20 mark.

In this session of Stock Markets, BSE Sensex started trading at 76,935.41 and then continued to trade between 77,079.04 – 76,379.73. On the other hand, Nifty Sensex started trading above the previous closing at 23,319.15 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 23,411.90. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 23,227.15.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.52 against USD on 10th June 2024. Ultratech Cement, Power Grid Corporation Of India, Nestle India, Axis Bank and NTPC ended as Top Gainers in Sensex. Ultratech Cement, Grasim Industries, Hero Motocorp, Cipla and Power Grid Corporation Of India (up 2.09%) in Top Gainers in Nifty50.

On the other hand in top indices of Stock Markets; Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Bajaj Finance stocks ended as Top Losers in Sensex. While Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra and LTI Mindtree ended as Top Losers in Nifty50.
