Stock Markets lost the gains again during the session

Stock Markets crashed again on 12th February, 2024. Traders did not invest in major stocks and selling pressure in Banking, FMCG, Metal, Oil sector companies has effected the Markets. International Stock Markets ended up with mixed results and they also led to this fall. Hence, BSE lost 523.00 points to close at 71,072.49 and Nifty lost 166.45 points to close at 21,616.05 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 71,722.31 and then continued to trade between 71,756.58 – 70,922.57. Index started to gain in the first hour but then the freefall as started. In the mid-session, it did show some resistance but the freefall continued. By the end, it did recover and BSE ended the trading session at 71,072.49 by losing 523.00 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,800.80 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 21,831.70. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,574.75. Index did not see a huge enthusiastic start but it did not seem to be on the losing end. But as the day progressed, big stocks faced huge selling rally. Hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 166.45 points on 21,616.05.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.01 against US Dollar on 12th February, 2024. Coal India, Hero Motors, Bharat Petroleum, ONGC, NTPC shares ended up losing huge during this session. Reddys Labs, Apollo Hospitals, Wipro, Divis Labs, HCL Technologies registered marginal gains. Stock Markets need to recover in the next few sessions after this much of volatility.
