PMJ Jewels, a trusted South Indian jewellery brand with a legacy of over 60 years, is set to present its finest jewellery collections with over 10,000 varieties across styles, at an exclusive exhibition at the Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, from 31st January to 2nd February.
Adding to its famous Taj Krishna exhibitions, PMJ Jewels has one of its most extensive world’s biggest exhibitions showcasing a wide range of stunning jewellery pieces all in one place. This exhibition captures the essence of the brand, which has always aimed at ensuring a wide and more than praised selection to be offered for weddings, half-saree and other events. Incorporating Indian traditions and heritage, PMJ Jewels continues to offer pieces that celebrate the rich traditional craftsmanship of the old-world, blended with modern aesthetics.
“PMJ Jewels has been part of our customers’ most significant life moments for more than 60 years,” Said Mr. Kushal Kankaria, Chairman, PMJ Jewels. “This exhibition brings together designs that convey meaning, while preserving traditional elements and adapting to contemporary lifestyles. For those who have already visited us, it is a celebration of shared memories, and for those discovering PMJ Jewels, it is an invitation to experience our craftsmanship and values.”
PMJ Jewels has been a part of many families’ special milestones for decades, from a young girl’s first half-saree celebrations to weddings, anniversaries and heirlooms for decades to come. It is fitting that this exhibition is a milestone of its own, reaffirming PMJ’s status as a jeweller and a partner for life’s special moments that become family traditions and memories
What to expect at the exhibition:
- Distinct experiential and zones curated for different occasions, including weddings, pre-wedding and post-wedding celebrations, half-saree ceremonies, and 2 dedicated private wedding lounges.
- Professional stylists are available at the venue to assist guests in selecting jewellery that complements each occasion and aligns with individual preferences.
- A dedicated Diamond Testing Zone to reinforce transparency and trust, allowing customers to verify the authenticity and specifications of their natural diamonds.
Among the highlights of the exhibition are the Signature diamond, coloured gemstone collections, and traditional polki collection reflecting traditional Indian artistry paired with modern craftsmanship. The Pavithram Collection features god and goddess-inspired jewellery, including Radha–Krishna necklaces, Balaji chokers, Lakshmi and Saraswathi carved pendants, mangalsutras, tikkas, earrings, and deity motifs studded with gemstones. Drawing inspiration from Indian sacred sculptures and historic temples such as Padmanabhaswamy, Konark, and Mallikarjuna, the collection reflects PMJ Jewels’ strength in storytelling through design.
The Sitara Collection is designed for half-saree celebrations, a significant milestone in South Indian households, marking a girl’s transition into womanhood. Inspired by nature and the cosmos, the collection draws on ancient South Indian craftsmanship, blending traditional symbolism with intricate detailing.
Before the exhibition commenced, a press conference was held, addressed by Dinesh Kankaria, Managing Director of PMJ Jewels. This was followed by a unique fashion show featuring the children of PMJ Jewels’ customers, showcasing the newly launched collection. In collaboration with Bhargavi Kunam, a renowned Hyderabad-based Indian fashion designer celebrated for her handcrafted luxury detailing, the outfits were thoughtfully designed to complement and align seamlessly with the jewellery. The brand ambassador, Sitara Ghattamaneni, was also present at the exhibition and show. This initiative was a gesture by PMJ Jewels to celebrate its long-standing relationship with customers, creating cherished memories and reinforcing the brand’s people-first philosophy.
PMJ Jewels has 45+ stores in India and the USA and is always evolving, but remains grounded in the values that have earned the trust of generations. By blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design and personalised experiences, the brand has become synonymous with jewellery that’s worn today and treasured for life.
