Union Minister V Muralitharan’s car was attacked in West Midnapore in West Bengal. With this, he shortened his visit. On Thursday, Muralitharan revealed the details on Twitter.
Mr Muralitharan tweeted that locals in Paanchkuri attacked his convoy, smashed car windows and injured his personal staff. He also attached a video of the attack to his tweet. BJP Bengal Karyakarta, Biswajit Mahesh, who was killed in the post-poll violence at his village Markundachak as Police advised him not to go after the attack on his convoy at Paanchkuri.
Meanwhile, Governor Jagdeep Dhankar has sent a report to the Central Government on the security situation in West Bengal. Violence has been rampant in the state since the results of the Assembly elections were released.
